Panchali Saikia
Panchali is a water governance and resilience expert contributing towards research, knowledge development and implementation under several projects at SIWI: City Water Resilience Approach (CWRA), UNICEF-UNDP-SIWI Accountability for Sustainability Partnership, and WASH Governance Hub-India. Her expertise is also made available through the UNDP-SIWI Water Governance Facility (WGF) partnership in the areas of gender equity and water governance in Asia.
Panchali has a Masters in Political Science from the University of Delhi (India) with 9+ years of work experience on water governance issues. Prior to joining SIWI, she worked with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) as a qualitative researcher on water governance at local and transboundary scale, gender and social equity in irrigation water management, with extensive field experience across South, South East and Central Asia. She speaks English, Hindi and Assamese.
