International Women’s Day 2023

We asked SIWI staff two questions. First, what difference does it make when women are part of water decisions?
Second, can you share examples from the field when it has made a difference?

We learn that from having specific gender roles to ensuring food security women play a highly important role in shaping water decisions.

By having consulted women in different projects, the outcomes were more suitable and successful for the society in general.

Incorporating gender perspectives is critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
